help~

Hi. I'm going to be competing in my state's Miss America pageant. For my prelim, I sang "My Strongest Suit" from Aida (duh). lol While I finished up to the top in talent and won the preliminary pageant, the gal who won talent sang "Someone like you" from Jekyll and Hyde.

So...

What are your favorite empowering showtunes?
I've been thinking of
"I'm not Afraid" - Songs for a New World
"Defying Graity" - Wicked (while that sounds like a bad idea, no one in my state is very familiar with Wicked except other theater people)
I was also thinking about one of the songs from 42nd street...


Please help! What is your favorite empowering, Miss America style showtune? I'm a musical theater major, and while I play piano, I much prefer to sing. I'm also thinking maybe a classic Jazz piece.
